How does fat freezing work?

Fat cells are more sensitive to cold temperatures than other cell types. Freezing the subcutaneous fat causes the fat cells to die without affecting the surrounding skin, muscles, or nerves. Over time, your body eliminates these dead fat cells through its natural waste system, leaving you with a slimmer, more sculpted look—no surgery or downtime required.

When will I see results?

How many session are needed?

3 sessions are the norm and you will see great results. But it can vary – if it is very little fat to eliminate then it might be just 2 sessions. If it is a very substantial deposit, it might be 4. An assessment will be done at your consultation to tailor the treatment to your needs.

CoolSlimming aftercare

CoolSlimming requires absolutely no down time and you can continue as normal. You may carry out some light activity, such walking or a gym session. First 24 hours, limit carbohydrates, alcohol and caffeine to maximise results. Avoid anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen that can interfere with the body’s natural inflammatory process that is necessary to eliminate the treated fat cells. Drink a minimum of 2 litres of water everyday for 12 weeks as this will optimize the dissipation of the fat cells. Keep a well balanced diet to help keep long lasting results. Massage the treated areas once or twice a day to speed up and improve results by encouraging blood flow and lymphatic drainage in the area. If you have bruising, apply arnica cream twice a day for the first two days to minimize it.
